Linguistic Diversity Act
ARTICLE I: PURPOSE
To promote linguistic diversity, this Act aims to establish both English and Occitan also know as Old Carcassonais as official languages for use in legal documents available to its loyal citizens in our Great Imperial Carcassonne Region.
ARTICLE II. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Act:
I. “English” means the language derived from the Anglic branch of the Germanic Indo-European language family.
II. “Occitan” also known as “Old Carcassonais” or “Provençal” means the language derived from the Occitano-Romance Branch of the Italic Indo-European Family.
III. “Official Protected Language” means a language recognized and enshrouded with protections by law by the Federal Government of Carcassonne.
ARTICLE III. STATUS AS OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
This Act hereby recognizes the status of English and Occitan as Offical Protected Languages in the Region of Carcassonne, and while not required, can be used heretofore in any legal document put forth such as but not limited to:
I. Bills in the Ecclesia
II. NationState Dispatches
III. Regional Dispatches
IV. Oaths of Office
ARTICLE IV. IMPLEMENTATION
This Act shall be implemented and given protection to the fullest extent of the law the following Midnight after it is given Royal Assent. The Federal Government of Carcassonne shall grant the langauges all protections and preserve them for generations to come.
