Heraldic Creation Act

ARTICLE I: PURPOSE

This Act aims to establish the position of Heraldic Code Keeper for the Region of Carcassonne, responsible for maintaining and regulating the use of heraldic devices, coats of arms, and other symbolic representations within the region.

ARTICLE II: DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this Act:

  • “Heraldic device” means a symbol, emblem, or representation used to identify individuals, families, institutions, organizations or States.
  • “Coat of arms” means a heraldic device consisting of a shield, crest, and motto, used to represent individuals, families, or institutions.
  • “Heraldic Code” means the set of rules and guidelines governing the use of heraldic devices and coats of arms within the Region of Carcassonne.

ARTICLE III: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE POSITION

  1. The position of Heraldic Code Keeper for the Region of Carcassonne is hereby established.
  2. The Heraldic Code Keepers shall be appointed by the Monarch of the Region of Carcassonne.
  3. The Heraldic Code Keepers shall serve indefinitely or until removal by the Monarch.

ARTICLE IV: RESPONSIBILITIES

The Heraldic Code Keepers shall:

  1. Maintain a register of all heraldic devices and coats of arms used within the Region of Carcassonne.
  2. Develop and enforce the Heraldic Code, ensuring consistency with international heraldic traditions and regional regulations.
  3. Provide guidance and advice on the use of heraldic devices and coats of arms to individuals, institutions, organizations, and States.
  4. Investigate and resolve disputes related to the use of heraldic devices and coats of arms.
  5. Promote the cultural and historical significance of heraldry within the Region of Carcassonne.

ARTICLE V: FUNDING

The Monarch of the Region of Carcassonne shall allocate sufficient funds to support the activities of the Heraldic Code Keepers, including the maintenance of the register and the enforcement of the Heraldic Code. This will include a yearly stipend paid out of the Monarch’s Treasury.
